Classic style British Navy rum, that takes its name from old naval rum rationing traditions, where in rum is distributed by a pusser or purser who would dispel complaints of a watered-down brew by wetting a small pinch of gunpowder along with the rum and lighting it. An ignited mixture is proof of a strong enough rum—which is never a question with the Pusser label.
- Clear with a dark copper-amber hue and burnished copper highlights
- Hints of pungent treacle, molasses, honey, toffee, oak, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger on the nose
- Full-bodied, rich taste with a blending of some strong and mellow flavours that linger on the mouth as a spicy, burnt caramel mouthfeel that dies down to more subtle prune and cold tea tastes
- Oak undertones provide the perfect balance of sweetness and structure to the peppery and spirity spice of this potent rum blend
