A super-vegetal green digestif/amaro from Italy, 13 herbs and plants are used to created its distinct flavour, the dominant one being artichoke (the Latin word for artichoke is Cynara scolymus, hence the name Cynar). Very typical herbal nose with bittersweet notes, with caramel flavours coming after the bitter artichokes and dried fruits. A long finish of bitterness, but with a pleasant caramel note. Use this as an alternative to Campari for a more complex note to your cocktails.
