Thanks to his belief that blending creates something greater than the sum of its parts, Compass Box is now regarded as one of the great blending houses of the modern age. Their whiskies are all non-chill-filtered and without added colouring, regardless of whether it is a malt or grain whisky. With a name like Peat Monster, what do you think this Blended Malt is going to be like? Soft and sublte? No! A nose with sweet fruity grain, but big medicinal peat. A palate of peat and oak, floral, slightly metalic and sweet. The sweet peat is also there on the long palate. Use in a Penicillin if you like your cocktails.
