Amrut was India’s first single malt brand, and Amrut Fusion is named thus because it is a fusion of Indian barley and peated Scottish Barley. The Scottish barley is peated. On the nose, you get gentle but big aromas of barley sugar, oak and smoke. The palate has a gentle smoke, touches of coffee and chocolate. Still quite fruity also. The finish is long with spice and fruit. Best enjoyed in a Rob Roy cocktail.
