The founder of Compass Box, John Glazer, set up the company in 2000 because he felt too many people were selling whisky the same way. Thanks to his belief that blending creates something greater than the sum of its parts, Compass Box is now regarded as one of the great blending houses of the modern age. Their whiskies are all non-chill-filtered and without added colouring, regardless of whether it is a malt or grain whisky. Compass Box also believes in the character and flavour of the whisky more than just the age. Hedonism is the first ever whisky created by Compass Box, and is a blended grain whisky (meaning all its components are single grain whiskies, not malts). A delicate nose of vanilla, fudge, faint coconut and white pepper. On the palate, vanilla fudge, coconut, honey and leather. This balances out the oak, coffe and cacao flavours. A warm finish of spice and vanilla. Serve neat or slighty chilled.
