Marca Negra produce small varietal mezcals which naturally vary from batch to batch. The ABV is high, usually close to 50%, because that’s the way the maestro mezcaleros prefer their spirits. This Mezcal made from Espadin has smoke straightaway on the nose, but it dissipates into fragrant, almost perfume-like notes. A well-cooked agave palate with touches of char, citrus and green herbs on the back. The finish is herbaceous and smoky. Drink neat or add a touch in a cocktail for that smoky vegetal flavour.
